Monday the 23th of November, The Rasmus is holding a special concert in the gym hall of their former school in Suutarila.
The first gig The Rasmus ever played, was in the year 1994 at a Christmas party at the same location. The show is streamed
live at IRC-Galleria and IRC-Galerie The Rasmus communities. You can follow the gig live in IRC-Galleria or IRC-Galerie communities
and chat with other fans.

10/27/09 THE RASMUS GOES BACK TO SCHOOL...
The Rasmus celebrates their 15th anniversary by playing a gig in the gym hall of Suutarila
school in Helsinki on 23rd November. The venue is the same where the band first started their career in 1994 in the school's
Christmas Party.
Because of the limited capacity of the venue, the event is for invited guests only. The audience consists
of a group of old class mates of The Rasmus members, some of the present pupils of Suutarilaschool and the winners of a special
contest run by Irc-Galleria. Irc-Galleria will also broadcast the whole concert as a live stream world wide. Viewing the stream
does not require registration to the service.
IRC-Galleria is one of the largest social networking websites in
Finland with over 800 000 weekly users.
The event is implemented together with Sulake (the administrative corporation
of IRC-Galleria) and Mikkeli University Of Applied Sciences. The multi-camera production is provided by Mikpolis Oy.

So there you have it, short hair. But why? From what I've heard from family of Lauri is that he
had a bet with Pauli Rantasalmi, and Ville Valo. He said he could land a viral flip on his skateboard. Well, we all know how
that ended {Dislocated shoulder}.
In other news, It's been announced that the next single will be Ghost of Love, not Your Forgiveness.

20.2.2009 New single anounced!

The Rasmus' gig in Budapest by Eero that the next single will be Your Forgiveness. The plot for the video has also been released;
The
plot shows a boy and girl as the main character, and this time the girl stickes the guy in his stomach which sends him to
the hospital; after which the girl needs the guy's forgiveness.

04.12.2008 LAURI FROM THE RASMUS COMPOSES MOVIE SCORE
The Rasmus’ Lauri Ylönen has fulfilled one of his life long dreams by writing the score to a new Finnish
movie called Blackout. Blackout is a psychological thriller about a man who suffers from amnesia. He wakes from a long coma
to find someone has fired a nail into his head with a nail gun. He then begins to trace the events leading up to the trauma.
The movie stars popular Finnish actor Petteri Summanen.
“I always wanted to compose a movie score. I read the
manuscript and the melodies started to play in my head. Basically I have classical training in music and the themes came alive
easily.
I sat down by the piano, put my fingers on the keys and listened to where I should move my hands next”,
summarises Lauri.
The theme song of the movie, “Tide”, is performed by debut artist Belle Who.
“She
is a very talented indie pop artist from Helsinki and the latest signing on Dynasty Recordings. I have worked on her album
for most of this year as I’m the executive producer,” says Lauri. Belle Who’s debut album will be released
early in 2009.
The Blackout soundtrack is a Dynasty Recordings release and it’s distributed by Playground Music
Finland. Release date is the 17th of December. Blackout has its premiere on the 26th of December in Finland.
02.10.2008 Quadruple chart stunt for The Rasmus in Finland!
Having released their 7th studio album "Black Roses" on September 24th, the Rasmus went straight in at number one
on the official Finnish Album Chart this week.
Not content with that the band also topped the official Finnish single and
download charts this week with "Livin' in a world withou you" as well as being quite happy to spend their 6th week on the
#1 spot of the Music Control radio chart.
The Rasmus are also to be awarded with a Gold disc for sales on Black Roses in
Finland as they commence the Dynasty tour together with Finnish disco-pop sensation Mariko and progressive rocksters Von Hertzen
